The central question concerns governance of automated epistemology. Can societies design institutions capable of supervising algorithmic systems while preserving transparency, accountability, and epistemic reliability?
Answering this question requires confronting the broader social consequences of digital transformation. Algorithmic systems do not operate in isolation; they reshape economic structures, political communication, and collective identity. As digital environments reorganize social interaction, they produce new forms of tribalism and polarization that further destabilize shared reality.
